Mark Twain schreef in 1905 het pamflet King Leopold’s Soliloquy als protest tegen het gruwelijke Congobeleid van koning Leopold II. Het werk verscheen in Nederlandse vertaling pas tientallen jaren later, in 1961, bij de communistische Nederlandse uitgeverij Pegasus. Deze uitzonderlijke vorm van plotse, vertraagde vertaling vertelt veel meer over de mogelijke geheimen die onze samenlevingen kunnen dragen dan op het eerste gezicht misschien lijkt.

This EU ruling consequently has affected the practice of the European Patent Office and has caused a lot of confusion in the scientific community.
