This paper investigates the impact of new residential construction on the price of existing owner-occupied houses in Flanders. The housing market is an important part of the economy in Flanders, therefore pricing of buildings is a frequently and actual debated topic. In this paper, the interaction between the existing housing market and new residential construction is further examined with a special focus on the price effect.
