“The Africa you have always dreamed of”.

Tanzania in Britse reisgidsen

“Paradoxes like these abound in East Africa, which is never without a surprise in store for travellers and settlers alike. It is not many years since the first brave explorers cut their paths through East Africa. But already a swiftly established civilisation can offer every comfort and assistance to the modern explorer. If adventure, beauty or glimpses of life as it was in the world’s beginning have any appeal to you, let us give you a formal introduction to… East Africa.”

“We all romanticise Africa. An incredible amount of drivel was written about it during the colonial era, and this dominates our perception of the continent. The macho blustering of Hemingway and exaggerated accounts of the Great White Hunters vie in our heads with the nostalgic meandering of Out of Africa. For the west, Africa represents wildness and space, vast horizons and shimmering red sunsets; powerful images we do not want shattered by the realities of the late 20th centuries.”
