Hoe kunnen we Nederlandstalig androcentrisch taalgebruik herkennen? Een kritische discoursanalyse van het radioprogramma Hautekiet.

Ashley Vandekerckhove
Persbericht

In het Nederlands spreekt men liever óver ons heen, niet over ons.

“[…] culture is about “shared meanings”. Now, language is the privileged medium in which we “make sense” of things, in which meaning is produced and exchanged. Meanings can only be shared through our common access to language. So language is central to meaning and culture and has always been regarded as the key repository of cultural values and meaning.” (Hall, Evans, & Nixon, 2013, p. xvii)

Gilman schreef in 1911 hier uitvoerig over in haar boek The man-made world, or our androcentric culture.

Genderneutraal, -bewust of eerder -inclusief?
