Waxpert, hoogwaardig en draagbaar waxtoestel voor de wintersporter

Waxpert biedt een totaaloplossing voor de problematiek rond het handmatig waxen van wintersportmateriaal zoals ski’s en snowboards. De klassieke methode van waxen kan brandwonden veroorzaken, is tijdsconsumerend, arbeidsintensief, energie-inefficiënt en vaak wordt er een overdaad aan wax gebruikt. Dat laatste is niet enkel financieel belastend voor de gebruiker, deze wax kan uit schadelijke componenten bestaan die op deze manier onnodig in het milieu terechtkomen. Indien niet voldoende geoefend in deze klassieke waxmethode, kunnen gebruikers ongewild hun wintersportmateriaal beschadigen. Het is eveneens een lastige klus om binnen de beperkte ruimte van een huurappartement op skivakantie tot een goed eind te brengen. Waxpert is een veilig, snel en efficiënt alternatief in compact formaat, zonder verlies van kwaliteit.

Infrarood

Waxpert maakt gebruik van infraroodtechnologie (IR) om verscheidene problemen gelijktijdig aan te pakken. De IR-lampen hebben een uitzonderlijk snelle opwarm- en afkoeltijd omdat IR materialen rechtstreeks opwarmt en niet de lucht tussenin. Een optische sensor schakelt de lamp automatisch uit als er geen beweging meer geregistreerd wordt of als het toestel wordt opgetild. De sensorbeveiliging, in combinatie met de IR-lamp, verkleint het risico op brandwonden en beschadiging van het wintersportmateriaal. De IR-lamp biedt directe gebruiksfeedback door de waarneembare lichtgloed via de transparante klep bovenaan het toestel.

Werking

Wanneer de optische sensor wordt geactiveerd door beweging, begint de IR-lamp te branden. Deze laat de wax smelten en op de ski- of snowboardbasis druppelen. De IR-lamp warmt gelijktijdig de basis op. De gebruiker kan nu de gesmolten wax met het toestel uitwrijven over de verwarmde skibasis met de verdeelring onderaan het toestel. Deze verdeelring in geschuimd materiaal, is behandeld met een lipofobe coating om waxresten te beperken tot een minimum. Door de wrijvende beweging te blijven herhalen nadat de gedoseerde wax volledig is gesmolten, wordt de aangebrachte wax gelijkmatig verdeeld. Door deze werkwijze wordt de hoeveelheid wax geminimaliseerd. In tegenstelling tot de conventionele waxmethode kan de gebruiksduur met 2/3e verkort worden, omdat het wegschrapen van overgedoseerde wax bij de Waxpert haast of helemaal overbodig zal zijn.

Dosering

Om het waxverbruik omlaag te halen is het belangrijk dat de wax gecontroleerd kan gedoseerd worden. In de set van Waxpert zit een compact schaafje om optimaal te kunnen doseren in het toestel. Door deze doseermethode wordt kan er tot 90% minder wax gebruikt worden.

Het schaafje is uitgevoerd als sleutelhanger en doet zo dienst als ‘conversation starter’. Het geeft de mogelijkheid aan wintersporters om hun omgeving te tonen dat ze begaan zijn met het onderhoud van hun materiaal en het milieu. Het sociale aspect wordt versterkt en krijgt het merk mond-tot-mondreclame.

Compact

Een ‘cable organizer’ kan onderaan het toestel worden bevestigd om de kabel op te rollen tijdens vervoer. Deze beschermt eveneens de verdeelring uit geschuimd materiaal tegen indrukking of beschadiging in de bagage of tijdens een lange periode dat het toestel niet gebruikt wordt.
