De psychopate vrouw, een inzicht in haar bestaan

De term “psychopaat”, mensen hebben de dag van vandaag een vaag idee van wat de term inhoudt en weten zeker dat ze die niet graag in persoon zouden ontmoeten, dat ze achter slot en grendel thuishoren.  Psychopaten jagen door de kille berekendheid waarmee ze allerlei wreedaardigheden begaan, hun complete gewetenloosheid en meedogenloosheid, rillingen over onze collectieve ruggengraat.  Hun doen is moeilijk te vatten vanuit een maatschappelijk gedachtegoed waarin schuld een warm aanbevolen gevoel is voor de weldenkende mens, het geweten bijna onderwerp van reclame is en de sociale verwachtingen bijzonder hoog zijn.

 

Psychopathie raakt aan ons basisgevoel van onveiligheid en de confrontatie met de “psychopaat” en zijn bestialiteiten, via allerlei media, steeds frequenter.  Elk van ons meent wel een voorbeeld te kunnen geven.  Maar als we onze gedachten, die van het algemene publiek, nagaan, zien wij duidelijk een mannelijke gewetenloze crimineel.  Vrouwen horen in de verste verte niet in dit mentale plaatje thuis.  Het idee van een vrouwelijke psychopate voelt bijzonder vreemd, vooral als je bedenkt wat de rol van de vrouw in onze samenleving is, hoe onbegrepen zij is.  Dit is waanzin!  Het zou nog nooit in ons opkomen dat een psychopaat evenwel een moeder, een babysit, een verpleegster of een huisvrouw zou kunnen zijn.  Het wordt zelfs een rasechte feministe teveel wanneer zij hierover doordenkt.  Erg is, dat deze waanzin, tot nog toe, een onbegrepen feit is.

 

Now, what’s the point?  Vrouwelijke criminelen, laat staan vrouwelijke psychopaten, zijn toch een ver-van-ons-bed-show.  Ze vormen toch maar een klein te negeren visje in de grote daderpoel.  Waarom zouden wij ons hiervoor interesseren?  Die vraag verdwijnt allicht wanneer we ons bedenken hoe gemakkelijk vrouwen in onze samenleving, toegang hebben tot zwakkeren (denk bijvoorbeeld aan kinderen), wanneer wij ons bedenken dat deze “femmes fatales” al hun charmes in de strijd zouden gooien om onze geliefden bij ons weg te verleiden, wanneer wij ons bedenken hoe tolerant onze samenleving is voor de vrouwelijke fout.  Begin je maar eens voor te stellen wat de gevolgen van een onbezorgdheid voor deze charmante maar gewetenloze vrouwen zouden kunnen zijn, van de vrijgeleide die ze in onze maatschappij krijgen.  Het belang van enige aandacht zou wel eens groter kunnen zijn dan we oorspronkelijk durfden denken.

 

Deze scriptie probeert een inzicht te geven in het bestaan van deze moordvrouwen, probeert hun positie te schetsen in het psychopathieverhaal en bouwt een heel eigen theorie op rond het zijn van psychopate vrouwen.  Hiervoor werden de antwoorden gezocht in enkele maatschappelijke fenomenen, namelijk voorgeschreven rolpatronen voor mannen en vrouwen in de maatschappij, en het feit dat de vrouw als een emotioneel intelligentere geslacht wordt gezien.  Daarvoor moest gegaan worden over geslachtsverschillen in overte gedragsmatige manifestaties van de stoornis en het vreemde idee van “de succesvolle psychopaat”.

 

Deze kattige dames dienen ook aangepakt te worden.  Anders dan hun mannelijke collega’s?  Enkele bedenkingen werden gemaakt, onder andere dat onze maatschappij wel eens de gentleman zou kunnen zijn die bezig is met het financieren van de professionalisering van deze ‘lady’killers, dat voor deze vrouwen uw belastingsgeld mogelijks over de balk gegooid wordt, en zij zelf onschendbaar worden.  Kan wel eens interessant zijn, niet waar.

Wat deze scriptie vooral probeert duidelijk te maken is, dat er werk aan de winkel is, het tijd wordt om werk te maken van een deftige studie van vrouwelijke psychopathie, dat deze vrouwen niet zo te negeren zijn als we oorspronkelijk dachten en zij mogelijks veel meer dan de mannelijke psychopaat, onder ons aanwezig zijn doordat zij met hun vrouwelijke charmes veelal buiten gevangenissen weten te blijven.  Hun pad is even vernielend als dat van mannen, ze zijn even psychopaat, maar toch dat beetje anders.  De vrouwelijke touch kan het ook in dit geval, wel eens doen.
